Project Brief

Çiftay-1 Solar Power Plant Bundle consists of 14 individual Unlicensed Polycrystalline Silicon and Thin Film Solar Power Plants with a capacity of 13.51 MWe (AC) / 16.16 MWp (DC) in total, which are established in the accordance with according to the Law no: 6446 on Electricity Market Law. Solar panels, inverters and power transmission lines were intended to be built in different regions of Türkiye.

The project activity will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) by avoiding CO2 emission from electricity generation by fossil fuel power plants connected to Turkish National Power Grid. Total installed capacity is 13.51 MWe / 16.16 MWp. Since 5 of the solar power plants started to produce electricity on 12/05/2018 and the rest on 18/06/2018, calculations were made accordingly. The average generated energy is expected to be 854 MWh between 12/05/2018 and 18/06/2018, 13,344 MWh after 18/06/2018 in 2018 and 24,724 MWh/year after 2018, so the project will be able to deliver a reduction in emissions of around 9,204 tCO2e (tons of carbon dioxide equivalent) between 12/05/2018 and 31/12/2018 and 16,026 tCO2e annually after 2018. For the entire crediting period, annually 15,923 tCO2e and totally 159,234 tCO2e are expected to be reduced.
